Training

Serving as a teacher and a missionary in Taiwan requires a lot of training. Below is a list of some of the training that our new volunteers receive before serving on a VOICE Missions team.

TESOL CERTIFICATION

TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language) training prepares our volunteers for the teaching that they will be doing at their team locations. We require that all our volunteers pass at least a 60 hour course. You can find TESOL courses online or at your local college or university.

CHILD SAFETY CERTIFICATION

At VOICE Missions we interact with young children on a daily basis. Child safety certification provides our volunteers with training on how to create a safe environment for their students.

ORIENTATION

After arriving in Taiwan all VOICE Missions volunteers attend an orientation before traveling to their team stations. At orientation the volunteers learn about Taiwanese culture and receive practical training for their teaching and ministry.
